Dave and Arlete got married, yes they did. What a wonderful couple, married on a wonderful day, in a wonderful little town and in a wonderful little “Church”… Well, it was a church. Now it is the Brick Church bed and breakfast, small event venue located in Manilla Ontario hosted by two wonderful hosts. The Bride looked stunning and the location suited them perfectly. A noon wedding on a sunny, warm, fall day followed by an small intimate catered dinner that was cooked on location by two wonderful chefs. Wow, such a nice idea and a wonderful way to celebrate. We met with Dave and Arlete in a coffee shop near to them and we talked and the more Arlete described her vision of her day, the more clear I could see it in my mind and conversely the more we wanted to photograph their wedding. Arlete and I spoke about the amount of time she would need to cover such a small intimate celebration. This is always a questions most brides ask. I never try to up sell my clients EVER… I may suggest if something is a better value, but that’s it. You can get a wonderful wedding story of images with any of our packages. It all depends on what you want covered. With Dave and Arlete, we were able to cover their celebration with 4 hours of coverage. We love what we do.

These are some samples of my latest two engagement sessions. I find shooting engagement sessions a wonderful way to get to know our couples a little better… it also allows us to have some fun and laughs and we both have a chance to work with each other in a relaxed manner so that on the wedding day when your nervous or excited or things aren’t going exactly as planned… you will feel comfortable and relaxed. We love what we do…it’s that simple.

Here is another image from Glen and Amanda’s wedding. What a wonderful evening it was.
Eva and I have had a wonderful summer photographing some beautiful weddings and meeting even more beautiful people. We always remind our couples that the day will go by so fast… well so fast that it’s over before you know it. That’s where we come in… We give you a complete visual reminder of the most important day of your lives… We make memories live forever.

Today Eva and I were honoured to be the photographers for a same sex couple that flew up from Texas to Toronto, more specifically Ontario to get married. You see in Texas they don’t stand for that sort of thing legally. What an honour to live in a Country and Province that has an open attitude towards life and love. Those who know me know I am a fiscal conservative and I hate our hard earned tax dollars being wasted… but I am also very liberal when it comes to life…I believe in live and let live… I believe in a just universe…I believe that we saw two people so in love that they flew up from Texas with their families just to be married legally. I am glad I live in a country where this is possible. As we were walking about taking photos people honked and waved and said congratulations, and looking beautiful ladies… This made me proud of being from Toronto…this made me proud of my fellow men.
Congratulations Sara and Thu-Ha.
Canada was glad to be able to help make your dreams come true.

September 4th.. downtown Toronto..8 am.
Shooting with John always seems to start early. His work is mostly all-day coverage.
I will post some images from that day once the Bride and Groom receive them.
In the mean time.. another shot of Toronto.

Yesterday was a beautiful, wonderful day. The weather was outstanding, the breeze was welcome and the couple looked both beautiful and handsome. Glen and Amanda were married at the Sunnyside pavilion the same place my parents used to go in the 1940′s, so when they contacted me and asked us to photograph their wedding … well let’s just say I was more than excited. Glen and Amanda wanted a 1940′s Hollywood look to their images and these are just a few samples.
Congratulations Amanda and Glen.

I know the usual engagement photos are of couples out in the woods holding hands and cuddling… and if that’s who you are, then that’s great. Oh I love those country, woods photos with the sun streaming in too… besides fall light is my favourite to shoot in. However, what if you are not the walk the dog in the woods kind of people? What if you went to U of T and live in the city? Please meet Karen and Val. They live in the city, and they are very much in love.
