Here is a sneek peek at Kerry-Ann and Blake’s Wedding. On a warm summer day at Liberty Grande, these two warm, lovely souls were married it was fabulous day filled with laughter, joy and excitement… oh yes and dancing, lots and lots of dancing. The way these two look at each other and talk about each other was a wonder to behold. The day was perfect but the night was stormy and blustery, but noone noticed, and noone cared… everyone was dancing and having the best of times. We love what we do. We really really do.

Hey everyone, I hope your summer is living up your expectations. As Canadians we suffer through a fairly long winter, not that it was that cold this year, but those dull grey days hung around a good long time and that makes for a dreary winter. I have been soooo busy lately that I haven’t had time to blog… moving into a new studio, shooting weddings, engagement sessions, shooting products and photographing bands for Uncharted Sounds…(an online music magazine). After I make delivery of Anna and Jonathan’s wedding images this week, then I let you see some of their shots. What a beautiful couple. And yesterday was Benjamin and Mia’s wedding (another beautiful couple) up at the Manor in Kettleby…. what a great venue for a wedding. Today I am at the studio taking headshots for a client, Friday a belly dancing performance, and weddings on both Saturday and Sunday… Thats what I love about photography, every job is different, every client unique and always in a new location… I am truly blessed.
I shall post some shots soon, in the mean time, here is a shot from a shoot for Uncharted Sounds… this is a local singing group called Reverse…
Anna and Jon’s wedding was in a word, uber-cool… just like the two of them. Here is a sample from last Saturday’s nuptials.

I love weddings, and Anna and Jon’s wedding was totally awesome. On a small little street in Toronto, (one of the oldest streets in the area) in the beautiful home of Trudy Eagan, Anna and Jon exchanged their wedding vows. The day was as warm and friendly and intimate as Anna and Jon are with each other. Anna was stunningly beautiful and Jon was dapper, even more so with the addition of the Top hat handed down to Jon from Anna’s father in the middle of the speeches. Yesterday was the wedding followed by a shindig at the Bedford Academy and today they are all off on a picnic on the Toronto Island. A dream wedding celebration if I ever heard of one.
All the very, very best Anna and Jon… you two really are special people.
I am still uploaded the huge load of images, and I haven’t shared any with the bride and groom yet, but I did shoot their invites in my studio, and well…. I couldn’t resist a little tease…
Sleepy Hollow…
One thing I can tell you for sure is change sometimes comes in little ripples, and sometimes it comes in tidal waves… But change always comes. Nobody really likes to change, heck it’s hard work to change… but sometimes you need to change, like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly… or a seed growing into a wonderful blooming plant. Change is good, because change is growth…
Sometimes I can’t even put some of these things into words… and thats so hard when all I want to do is communicate… Thats why I love photography, it allows me to communicate to the whole world without the limitations of language.
All I want to do is show you the world through my eyes.

I was asked to shot for Uncharted Sounds the a couple of weeks ago, and they used one of the shots for the April cover and story about the Junos and Melanie Berry (CEO of the Junos). Be sure to check out the whole magazine, great stuff. http://www.unchartedsounds.com/magazine.php
Spring is almost here, soon the sun will shine, the flowers will bloom and happy couples will be getting married. This is the time of year I check out all my cameras and get to explore what they are capable of all over again. It’s like taking learning to “see” all over again, building on what you know and adding new and exciting approaches to creating any image. I hope to God that I never stop growing, searching for new and creative ways to capture these moments in time we call photos. Today my sweet dog Charlotte and I went for a walk in the park… the skies are grey, the ground wet and flattened, and the trees are bare… but still I got an image that I really like…. I only wish there was a bride and groom in that shot.

Well, how nice was to be back in Cuba again this year. What a wonderful lovely land, such nice people and the music….oh my God the music… and the soft sweet smell of cigars, and coffee and rum. I brought a small (I think it was small, Eva on the other hand thinks it was a little on the large size) bag full of cameras, but the one I ended up using the most was my little Olympus E-P2… Small in size, but big in results… For the techno geeks in the audience, 12.1MP, shoots raw, 8 art modes, HD movie camera, interchangable lenses, not bad shutter lag, and is small enough to be travel worthy. Eva and I had a wonderful time even though we had switch hotels after the very first night… we hated the first location so off we went to Sandals. I had no idea how tired I was until I was forced to stop. No cell phone, no internet, nothing but sand, surf and sun… ok and some rain too, but it was wonderful. Here are some sample shots from Cuba, all images were taken with the Olympus, except the one of Eva…. That was taken with a Canon 5D markii and a 16-35mm L lense.
I can’t wait to go back.
